You will oversee complex diagnostic procedures, mentor junior technicians, and ensure every vehicle meets the highest quality and safety standards. Duties Lead the diagnosis and repair of complex automotive systems, including powertrain, electrical, transmission, A/C systems, Cooling and diesel engines. Utilize schematics, diagnostic tools, and automotive software to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Perform comprehensive vehicle maintenance, including wheel alignments, electrical system troubleshooting, and component replacements. Mentor and supervise technicians on diagnostic procedures, repair techniques, and safety protocols to foster a collaborative team environment. Conduct auto estimating for repairs, ensuring accurate assessment of parts and labor costs. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic devices to complete repairs with precision. Maintain detailed service records, follow shop procedures for quality assurance, and ensure timely completion of all jobs. Experience Proven experience as a diagnostic auto technician or lead technician with a strong background in automotive repair. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, A/C, Cooling, and vehicle maintenance procedures amongst other things. Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation, and advanced diagnostics tools. Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software. Familiarity with Gas, hybrid vehicles; diesel engine repair experience is a plus.
