Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and certified Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive dealership experience and a strong background in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of vehicles, including GM models and diesel engines, utilizing advanced tools and technology to deliver exceptional service to our customers. A commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction is essential for success in this position. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on vehicles, including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines Conduct vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, and tire rotations Utilize schematics, ADAS calibration tools, and diagnostic software to accurately identify issues and implement solutions Repair or replace mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance Maintain detailed records of work performed using auto estimating software and ensure all repairs meet dealership standards Assist in training junior technicians and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on quality service delivery Requirements Proven dealership experience as an automotive technician or service technician Certification as a CDJR Certified Technician or equivalent certification from an accredited program Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, schematics interpretation, and diagnostic procedures Experience with GM vehicles and diesel engine repair is preferred Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive maintenance machinery Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately Excellent mechanical knowledge with a focus on powertrain systems, transmissions, alignments, and vehicle maintenance Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and services performed Experience with auto estimating software is advantageous Mechanic experience in a fast-paced dealership environment is highly desirable This role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality automotive repairs while maintaining safety standards. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for automotive technology.
