Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and competent Lead Automotive Technician to join our service team. At Nash's North Lake Imports, we specialize in European and Japanese vehicle repair. We are born and raised Tahoe locals, with deep relationships within the community. We are seeking someone who not only loves Tahoe and respects the community, but someone who is passionate to fix Tahoe one car part at a time. In this pivotal role, you will repair and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring top-quality workmanship. As a leader in our shop, you will be responsible for completing jobs in timely manner and within deadline, contribute to positive customer service, and uphold integrity throughout each job and the highest standards of automotive service. Your expertise in diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and electrical systems will drive efficiency and excellence in every job you undertake. Duties Responsible for opening and closing shop. Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs. Perform complex diagnostics using advanced tools and schematics to identify issues accurately. Lead repair efforts on powertrain components, transmissions, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and electrical systems. Review repair estimates, communicate with customers about service needs, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed repair documentation, including diagnostics reports and service records. Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the shop maintains a clean, organized work environment. Qualifications Preferred ASE certification. Strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Experience repairing European and Japanese vehicles. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and ADAS technology. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. Familiarity with GM vehicles, transmissions, and auto estimating software. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous service technician or lead mechanic experience. Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, suspension, and brakes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
