In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and preparing used vehicles to meet quality standards and customer expectations. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle is thoroughly reconditioned, safe, reliable, and visually appealing before it reaches the sales lot. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, applying your mechanical skills to deliver top-notch vehicle quality. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections of used vehicles to identify necessary repairs and reconditioning needs. Conduct mechanical repairs including engine diagnostics, diesel engine repair, powertrain servicing, and vehicle maintenance. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other electronic components. Carry out body repairs such as auto body work, welding, and cosmetic touch-ups to enhance vehicle appearance. Execute wheel alignments, tire rotations, and suspension adjustments to ensure optimal vehicle handling and safety. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs efficiently and accurately. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment while adhering to dealership standards for quality control. Requirements Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is preferred. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines. Ability to diagnose complex issues related to powertrain, ADAS features, and overall vehicle electrical systems. Familiarity with diesel engines and auto body repair techniques is a plus. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in automotive service environments. Certification or training in automotive diagnostics or electrical systems is advantageous.
