We're building complex vehicle systems that don't live on paper. They have to route cleanly, fit inside real constraints, and work the first time they're installed. That's where this role comes in. You'll take electrical schematics and turn them into harnesses that actually fit, install, and perform inside the vehicle. Not pre-built kits. Not repetitive assembly. Real builds where the first version teaches you what the design missed. What You'll Actually Do Build complete harnesses directly from schematics and engineering intent Route and integrate harness systems inside vehicles where space, access, and serviceability all matter Own first builds and figure out what works and what doesn't before it reaches production Catch issues early - routing conflicts, connector access, packaging problems—and fix them at the source Improve how harnesses are built so the next one goes faster, cleaner, and with fewer problems Work directly with engineers and technicians to close the gap between design and reality What This Requires Real hands-on experience building wire harnesses , not just working around them The ability to read a schematic and build from it without step-by-step instructions Confidence with crimping, routing, connector assembly, and clean installation practices Experience with prototype, first-article, or development builds Strong troubleshooting instincts when something doesn't work the way it should Where This Background Usually Comes From Automotive or EV development Motorsport or race vehicle builds Aerospace or complex electromechanical systems Specialty or custom vehicle manufacturing Work Environmen t This is a hands-on, on-site role inside an active vehicle build environment. You'll be working alongside engineers and technicians, solving problems directly on the vehicle. Some builds go smoothly. Others don't. The expectation is that you can figure out why.
