In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Perform repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, and diesel engines with precision and attention to detail. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs and maintenance tasks. Service and repair GM vehicles and other makes/models, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications. Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance checks, and ADAS calibrations to ensure safety features function correctly. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical systems. Execute auto body repairs when necessary and perform welding tasks to restore structural integrity. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for quality assurance. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer standards and advanced systems. Hands-on experience working with ADAS technologies, vehicle alignment systems, and electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques and maintenance procedures. Skilled in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings for precise repairs. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not required. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, suspension, brakes, and electrical components. Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.
