Job Description

Auto Access Apprentice:
Wheelchair accessible van repairs Turny evo/ six way power seat base installs EZ-locks install & repair install driving hand control systems Repair wheelchair conversion vehicle's Install wheelchair lifts, service and repair
Summary:
As the auto access technician apprentice you will work directly with a licensed certified master technician for all of the equipment that we install or service in these specialized accessible vehicles. Responsibilities Install, test, and service automotive access control and alarm systems, including CCTV, door locks, sensors, and related hardware. Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics and low-voltage guidelines; perform troubleshooting with hand tools and appropriate test equipment. Configure and integrate security components with networked systems, remote access software, and computer hardware basics. Maintain and calibrate system components; document service actions and customer interactions for warranty and service records. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and local codes; communicate clearly with customers and team members to coordinate field service tasks. Qualifications Service technician background with hand tools and electrical blueprint reading Experience reading schematics and using test instruments; familiarity with fire alarms and surveillance systems Basic computer networking, field service, and remote access software understanding (premium/relevant skills)
