Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and part replacements while adhering to safety standards. Work on specialized systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) and diesel engines to meet diverse customer needs. Complete auto estimating for repairs and communicate clearly with customers about repair procedures and timelines. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostics results to ensure transparency and quality control. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes, especially GM vehicles or similar brands. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with calibration brake systems, welding, Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of transmissions, oil change procedures, alignment techniques, suspension systems, tire service, and brake repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ASE certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
