Mobile Automotive Technician / Mechanic Mocanik Hartford, CT Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $25 - $35 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Employee assistance program Flexible schedule Qualifications ASE Certification Customer communication Driver's License Driving Trade school Dealership experience Full Job Description Mobile Automotive Technician / MechanicJob Summary Mocanik is seeking skilled and motivated Mobile Automotive Technicians to provide on-site vehicle maintenance and repair services for customers at their homes, workplaces, and other convenient locations. As a Mocanik Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide variety of vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service. Technicians have the flexibility to accept service requests that match their skills, experience, and availability through the Mocanik platform. This opportunity is ideal for mechanics who enjoy working independently, solving automotive problems, and helping customers get back on the road. Responsibilities Perform vehicle diagnostics and inspections. Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes, filters, fluids, and tune-ups. Repair and replace brakes, batteries, starters, alternators, belts, hoses, and suspension components. Diagnose drivability, electrical, charging, and starting system concerns. Utilize scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues. Communicate repair recommendations clearly and professionally to customers. Maintain a safe and organized work environment at customer locations. Document services performed through the Mocanik platform. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards. Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional conduct at all times. Preferred Services Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Oil Changes Brake Service Battery Replacement Alternator Replacement Starter Replacement Suspension Repairs Diagnostics Check Engine Light Diagnosis Tune-Ups Cooling System Repairs General Automotive Maintenance Qualifications Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to use scan tools and automotive diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems. Ability to work independently and manage service appointments. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation. Smartphone with internet access. Preferred Qualifications ASE Certifications (preferred but not required). Automotive trade school education. Mobile mechanic experience. Dealership, independent repair shop, or fleet maintenance experience. Compensation Compensation varies based on services completed, experience level, certifications, and participation type.
