Automotive Mechanic 604 Main St, Monroe, CT 06468 $12.33 - $25.00 an hour - Part-time, Full-time $12.33 - $25.00 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive vehicle performance and customer satisfaction to new heights! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will be vital in delivering top-tier automotive service, making a real difference for our customers every day. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain elements. Conduct oil changes, tire services, and wheel alignments. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto body repairs to ensure modern vehicle safety features are fully functional. Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for repairs, welding tasks, and mechanical adjustments. Inspect and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, and other specialized components in line with manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed service records, prepare estimates for repairs using auto estimating software, and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs. Experience Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong foundation in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Familiarity with Schematics reading for electrical systems and mechanical troubleshooting. Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and suspension systems is essential. Experience with auto estimating tools, auto body repair techniques, welding skills, and maintenance procedures enhances your candidacy. Strong customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and foster positive customer relationships. Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
$12.33 - $25.00 per hour
