Looking for a job where every day is different? A to Z Rental is seeking a mechanically inclined Equipment Technician / CDL B Driver to join our Wallingford team. This is not a driving only position and it is not a shop only position. The successful candidate will work throughout our operation, helping prepare equipment, assist customers, support our service department, maintain our yard, and perform local equipment deliveries when needed. https://www.atozrentalct.com What You'll Do Prepare equipment for rental by inspecting, cleaning, fueling, and performing basic maintenance Assist service technicians with repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment inspections Deliver and pick up equipment throughout Connecticut using company vehicles Safely load, unload, and secure equipment for transport Assist customers with equipment pickups, returns, and basic operating instructions Help customers and team members load and unload contractor and event rental equipment Operate forklifts, skid steers, lifts, and other rental equipment as needed Use company software and mobile devices to document deliveries, pickups, inspections, photos, fuel levels, and equipment hours Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and shop environment Work closely with coworkers to ensure customers receive exceptional service What We're Looking For Valid CDL Class B license Clean driving record Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools and equipment Strong work ethic and willingness to assist wherever needed Positive attitude and team first mentality Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical work throughout the day Preferred Qualifications Experience working on construction, landscape, agricultural, or rental equipment Experience with hydraulic, electrical, diesel, gas engine, trailer, or mechanical repairs Forklift or equipment operating experience Equipment rental industry experience What We Offer $24 to $26 per hour based on experience Overtime opportunities Health insurance Dental and vision insurance Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid sick time Stable year round employment Schedule Full time Five day work week Monday through Saturday operation One scheduled day off during the week or Saturday Day shift Seasonal overtime during busy periods Location Wallingford, Connecticut All deliveries are local or regional.
