Compensation:
$17 - $18 hourly
Responsibilities:
Perform oil and fluid changes on trucks and heavy equipment Grease chassis, suspensions, steering components, and driveline parts Inspect vehicles for basic mechanical issues and report findings to senior mechanics Check and top off fluids (engine oil, coolant, transmission, hydraulic, DEF) Replace basic wear items such as filters, belts, hoses, and wiper blades Assist mechanics with repairs and shop organization Perform basic tire checks, rotations, and air pressure adjustments Maintain a clean and organized shop, tools, and work areas Follow safety procedures and company maintenance standards Complete maintenance documentation and inspection reports
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Mechanical aptitude or prior experience with vehicles, equipment, or maintenance Basic knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment Willingness to learn diesel and hydraulic systems Ability to work in a fast-paced, dirty, and physically demanding environment Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus, but not required) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
