Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic with a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicles to ensure optimal operational performance. Your expertise will help keep our fleet and equipment in top condition, supporting the smooth operation of our transportation and industrial services. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and pto systems. Conduct mechanical repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components efficiently. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet operational needs. Maintain vehicle and equipment records accurately; complete service reports and logs for all repairs performed. Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing processes while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers, with tanker endorsement. Proven mechanic experience with dealership or industrial equipment; strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Skilled in using schematics for electrical troubleshooting and hydraulic system repairs; ability to read technical manuals effectively. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools required for complex repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically capable of working in various environments including outdoors or in confined spaces. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members.
