Duties Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing clear explanations of vehicle issues and recommended repairs Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and identify necessary repairs using automotive diagnostic tools Manage service writing duties, including creating detailed estimates and communicating repair plans effectively Perform or oversee a variety of repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmission repairs, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs Upsell additional services and maintenance based on customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity Handle cash transactions accurately and process invoices efficiently Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintain high-quality standards Skills Proven dealership or shop experience with automotive service management and customer service skills Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, oil changes, alignments, tires, shocks & struts, diesel engines, air brakes, and auto body repair Skilled in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques with mechanic experience preferred Ability to perform auto estimating and write detailed service reports; familiarity with auto estimating software is a plus Excellent communication skills for explaining technical issues clearly to customers Sales-oriented mindset with experience in upselling services and automobile sales Knowledge of cash handling procedures and maintaining accurate records Familiarity with automotive repair standards and safety protocols This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to combine technical expertise with exceptional customer service.
