Looking for an
EXPERIENCED RV TECH!
We are a manufacturer / upfitter of Class B RVs, Box trucks, Vans and Trailers. Want to work in a relaxed environment, come join our team!
Job Duties:
Complete Rough in and trim out of all electrical and plumbing systems in new builds. Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on recreational vehicles, encompassing a wide range of systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural components. Key responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, identifying issues, performing repairs with various tools, maintaining appliances, and explaining the vehicle's operation to customers. This hands-on role requires strong technical knowledge, diagnostic skills, physical stamina, and customer service abilities.
Key Responsibilities Diagnosis & Repair :
.Inspect vehicles for damage or needed repairs, and perform adjustments, repairs, and overhauls on all internal and external systems.
System Maintenance :
.Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades on appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, propane lines, and HVAC systems.
Component Installation :
.Install and test new parts and components as needed to restore proper function.
Work Order Management :
.Read work orders, consult with customers to understand the nature and extent of the damage, and plan the necessary work procedures.
Customer Service :
.Communicate with customers to explain the issues with their RV and how the repairs will be performed.
Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Proficiency :
Expertise in areas like plumbing, electrical systems, and general mechanics is essential.
Tool Usage :
Proficient with a variety of hand and industrial tools, including ohmmeters and pipe wrenches.
Diagnostic Skills :
Ability to accurately diagnose problems and determine the proper course of action for repairs.
Physical Stamina :
Capable of working physically demanding tasks, as the job involves bending, lifting, and working in various conditions.
Customer Service Skills :
The ability to effectively communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a clear, understandable way. Work Environment Metal shop with large bays and lots of fans. The role can involve working with a variety of RV types, including motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels.
