Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair and replace auto body parts, welding components, and perform auto estimating to ensure precise service documentation. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs involving diesel engines, air brakes, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other complex systems. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle's condition and necessary services. Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive repair techniques and technologies to ensure high-quality service delivery. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, powertrain components, and electrical systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and using automotive diagnostics equipment for troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with auto body repair, welding, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repair. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with ADAS calibration is advantageous. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive repair equipment safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
