Job Overview Join our dynamic automotive service team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle repair and maintenance. In this energetic role, you'll diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems. Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and air brake system repairs to ensure modern vehicle safety features operate flawlessly. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold manufacturer standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for repairs and welding tasks; interpret schematics for complex repairs on GM vehicles and other makes. Diagnose automotive electrical systems and perform auto body repairs when necessary to restore vehicle integrity. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to enhance vehicle longevity. Experience Prior dealership experience or extensive background working with automotive repair shops is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, and powertrains. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation to troubleshoot efficiently. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, welding techniques, and auto estimating is advantageous. Familiarity with maintaining vehicles equipped with advanced safety features such as ADAS is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment confidently. Excellent customer service skills combined with a solid understanding of auto body repair processes contribute to success in this role. $20.00 - $38.00 per hour
