Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently. Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements. Repair or replace components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed, estimated timeframes, and service recommendations to enhance customer experience. Requirements Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair. Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), vehicle schematics, and automotive electrical systems. Hands-on experience with auto estimating software and familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus. Mechanical knowledge covering powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and general vehicle maintenance. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices essential for efficient repairs. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for precise troubleshooting. Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; relevant certifications in automotive diagnostics or electrical systems are advantageous.
