Job Description

Job Overview:
Join our growing automotive repair team! We're seeking a detail-oriented Parts & Service Assistant with automotive knowledge to help with our service department. The ideal candidate will have great organizational skills and a strong understanding of automotive parts across Asian and Domestic manufacturers. You'll work in a collaborative environment with opportunities to develop new skills and advance your career. Primary Responsibilities:
Build accurate repair estimates upon management request and based off technician findings, sourcing labor and parts information. Source and order correct parts in a timely manner, confirm availability, and communicate expected delivery times with management and technicians. Track parts and manage vendor invoices, monitoring orders from purchase to arrival, verifying accuracy, and ensuring all information is entered and assigned to the correct repair order. Track returns, warranties, and verify vendor statements by processing returns, ensuring credits are received, managing warranty claims, and resolving discrepancies. Input technician inspection findings and notes. Monitor and maintain inventory by tracking stock levels, identifying needed items, and reordering as needed. Provide timely reports to management on parts, estimates, and workflow, and communicate any delays or discrepancies.
Requirements:
1+ Year experience Thorough understanding of the automotive repair estimating process. Thorough understanding of automotive parts correctness and quality. General understanding of automotive repair processes. Computer skills Organizational skills Positive attitude Clean driving license w/ ability to be insured Clean background check 2
