Job Description
DriveCenter Complete Auto Care is hiring a high-level Master Automotive Diagnostic Technician in Ocala, Florida. We are looking for an experienced, dependable technician with strong diagnostic ability, extensive repair knowledge, and the confidence to handle complex vehicle issues the right way. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a true professional who can diagnose accurately, repair efficiently, and take pride in quality workmanship. The right candidate will have strong experience in diagnostics, electrical systems, drivability concerns, engine performance, and major mechanical repair. ASE certifications and or manufacturer certifications are strongly preferred. If you are a seasoned technician who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles at a high level with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Diagnose complex drivability, electrical, engine performance, suspension, steering, brake, and HVAC concerns Perform advanced diagnostics using scan tools, testing equipment, and proven troubleshooting processes Identify root causes accurately instead of relying on guesswork or unnecessary parts replacement Complete major repairs and corrective work with quality and efficiency Perform thorough vehicle inspections and provide clear repair recommendations Handle check engine light diagnostics, no-start conditions, charging and starting system faults, overheating concerns, electrical issues, and other advanced repair needs Perform repairs according to industry standards and best practices Work closely with service advisors and team members to support accurate estimates and customer communication Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Help uphold high shop standards for workmanship, productivity, and professionalism Qualifications Extensive automotive technician experience required Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting experience required Advanced knowledge of electrical, drivability, and engine performance systems required Ability to perform complex repairs independently required ASE certifications and/or manufacturer certifications strongly preferred Own professional tools required Valid driver's license required Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail required Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality Leadership mindset and team-oriented attitude preferred Preferred Experience Advanced diagnostics Electrical repair and troubleshooting Check engine light diagnostics Engine performance diagnostics Major mechanical repair Suspension and steering repair Brake system repair Air conditioning diagnostics and repair Cooling system diagnostics and repair Experience working on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles is a plus What We Offer Top pay for the right candidate Full-time stable position Opportunity to grow with a respected local company Professional work environment Steady workflow Supportive team culture
