Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Lube Tech to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine lubrication, fluid changes, and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Your expertise will help ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of equipment used in construction, farming, and industrial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and more, utilizing your mechanical skills and hands-on experience to keep equipment running smoothly. Responsibilities Conduct regular lubrication and fluid changes on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, tractors, and forklifts using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to identify potential issues before they escalate. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical problems related to hydraulics, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical systems. Assist with minor fabrication tasks or repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques. Support larger repairs by disassembling components like brakes, axles, or hydraulic lines; reassemble and test equipment post-maintenance. Maintain detailed service records of all performed work for compliance and future reference. Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience working as a mechanic or service technician with heavy equipment or industrial machinery; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across systems such as hydraulics, air brakes, HVAC systems for vehicles or machinery, and diesel engines. Skilled in reading schematics, OEM manuals, and technical diagrams for diagnostics and repairs. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair or maintenance tasks. Experience with automotive diagnostics related to transmissions, electrical systems, tire service, wheel alignment, and brake repair. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators or tractor-trailers is a plus. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external clients regarding maintenance needs.
