Automotive Technician Epic Powertrain Orange Park, FL Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Brake repair Oil change Vehicle maintenance Powertrain Service technician experience Full Job Description Epic Powertrain is hiring for technicians who are skilled in transmission replacement and all automotive repair fields. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Transmission R and R Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and transmission replacement, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role involves diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems. Execute vehicle repairs including engine repairs, transmission work, wheel alignments, and ADAS calibrations. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools effectively. Conduct vehicle inspections to determine necessary repairs or maintenance services. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction. Assist with auto estimating and communicating repair timelines to customers when necessary. Experience Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Experience working with GM vehicles is preferred but not required. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment procedures, schematics reading, and auto estimating software is a plus. Hands-on experience with service technician tasks including vehicle maintenance, mechanical repairs, welding, and use of hand/power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills. Customer service experience is highly valued to ensure positive interactions with clients.
