Monday-Friday/8:00am-5:00pm
Consideration Requirements:
Must pass a background check, drug screening, and DMV driving record High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with no major infractions Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance. Must have a clean driving record. Pass background and drug screening. Extensive knowledge of hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and hoses. Proficiency with diesel engine diagnostic software and troubleshooting electrical systems. Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) and OSHA regulations is essential. Experience in performing scheduled services, including oil changes, brake inspections, and suspension repairs. Ability to lift heavy objects (often 50+ lbs), bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
Daily Duties:
Maintain, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems on heavy-duty waste vehicles to ensure DOT compliance and operational safety Conducting routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, lubrication of moving parts, tire rotations, and brake adjustments Using computer diagnostic software and electronic diagnostic systems to interpret failure codes and identify issues in diesel engines and related systems Repairing and rebuilding faulty parts, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brake systems, transmissions, steering, suspension, and engines Maintaining, repairing, and adjusting hydraulic and pneumatic components, such as cylinders, hoses, pumps, and motors, particularly on packer bodies Responding to roadside emergency calls for on-the-road breakdowns to diagnose and, if possible, repair equipment on-site Reviewing and completing repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) and conducting safety checks on all heavy equipment Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily. Keep a detailed recording of work performed, parts used, and labor hours Ensuring all vehicles meet Department of Transportation (DOT) and OSHA safety standards Order and replace parts as necessary, ensuring inventory is properly managed
