Subaru of Pembroke Pines, a dealership in the Craig Zinn Automotive Group, is looking for dedicated Express Lube Technicians! Job Summary The Express Lube Technician functions as an entry-level technician who is able to perform all maintenance services and light repairs in a quick pace.
Essential Functions:

Performs routine maintenance services and light repairs on vehicles assigned within an hour time frame. Performs oil changes and all lubrication services. Verify, patch and replace tires when needed. Verify batteries of car are in good condition. Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs as needed. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Operate, maintain, and verify all equipment is in proper working order. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Ensures that the customers' cars are kept clean. May perform other duties assigned by management.

Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Basic knowledge of internet software and order processing system. Must have a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record which shall be reviewed by Human Resources as needed. Previous customer service experience preferred. Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions. Previous dealership experience a plus. Have an ability to read and comprehend instructions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Organizes work effectively, prioritizes objectives, and exercises independent judgement. Must be friendly and maintain a positive and professional attitude. Ability to multitask and deal with a fast evolving environment. Ability to work under stress. Fast learner due to constant technology evolution. Intermediate language capabilities such as the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Basic math capabilities such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Intermediate reasoning capabilities such as the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand and walk, and occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, smell, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Employee must be able to use different type of equipment and/or tools: computers, tire pressure gauge, flashlights, etc. 90% of the time the employee is operating mechanical equipment or office equipment. The employee is expected to make quick decisions, communicate with visitors or customers, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity objectives and/or sales quota.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

- Due to the critical nature of the automotive industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the dealership. In addition, attendance at all schedule training sessions and meetings is required.
