In this energetic position, you'll perform essential maintenance services such as tire replacement, oil changes, fluid replacements, alignments, and basic repairs. Your mechanical skills and customer service mindset will ensure every vehicle receives top-quality care while fostering positive relationships with customers. The Tire & Lube Technician is responsible for performing tire services, preventive maintenance, oil changes, and basic vehicle inspections while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTire Services Mount, dismount, and balance tires using professional equipment. Install wheels and torque lug nuts to manufacturer specifications. Perform tire rotations. Repair repairable tire punctures according to industry standards. Install and service TPMS sensors and valve stems. Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation. Verify correct tire sizes before installation. Lube & Preventive Maintenance Perform engine oil and filter changes. Check and top off all vehicle fluids, including: Coolant Brake fluid Power steering fluid Windshield washer fluid Replace engine and cabin air filters. Inspect and replace wiper blades when needed. Lubricate serviceable chassis components. Reset maintenance reminder systems after service. Vehicle Inspection Perform multi-point vehicle inspections. Inspect brakes, suspension, steering, belts, hoses, batteries, and tires. Check for fluid leaks and visible mechanical issues. Report recommended repairs to the service advisor or manager. Notify management immediately of any unsafe vehicle conditions. Shop Responsibilities Maintain a clean and organized work area. Clean and maintain shop equipment. Properly dispose of used oil, filters, tires, and other waste materials. Keep tools organized and in good working condition. Assist with inventory organization and stocking. Safety Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Properly operate lifts, jacks, and shop equipment. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment. Report damaged tools or equipment immediately. Customer Service Treat every customer's vehicle with care and respect. Protect vehicle interiors using seat covers, floor mats, and fender covers. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Clearly communicate any vehicle concerns to management. Deliver quality workmanship on every vehicle. Productivity & Performance Complete assigned work efficiently without sacrificing quality. Maintain a low comeback rate by performing repairs correctly the first time. Follow all manufacturer and company service procedures. Assist other technicians when workload allows. Meet productivity and quality expectations established by management. Attendance & Professionalism Report to work on time and ready to perform assigned duties. Follow the company work schedule, including approved overtime when required. Wear the required company uniform and maintain a clean appearance. Limit personal cellphone use during working hours. Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude at all times. Qualifications Previous tire, lube, or automotive service experience . Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred. Ability to safely operate tire machines, balancers, and vehicle lifts. Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
