This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, including GM models, utilizing your mechanical skills and diagnostic abilities to keep our customers safely on the road. You'll be a vital part of a fast-paced environment that values quality workmanship, technical proficiency, and exceptional customer service. Duties Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics to identify issues using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, and electrical systems. Service brakes, including brake repair and replacement, as well as working on shocks & struts and wheel alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Execute oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and suspension repairs to maintain vehicle safety and efficiency. Repair diesel engines and work on advanced systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and air brake systems for commercial vehicles. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive schematics to complete repairs accurately and efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, prepare auto estimates for repairs, and ensure all work meets dealership or industry standards. Assist in auto body repair tasks when necessary while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly to clients. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent shop backgrounds preferred; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrain components. Experience working with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of ADAS technology, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, wheel alignment techniques, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; excellent problem-solving skills are essential. Valid technician certification or relevant ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications preferred; valid driver's license required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
