In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and automotive knowledge will help guide customers through the service process, accurately document their vehicle concerns, and communicate effectively with our service technicians. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend sales skills with technical understanding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every customer while supporting the dealership's service department goals. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle issues and service needs. Write detailed, accurate service estimates using auto estimating software, including repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Upsell additional services and maintenance recommendations based on vehicle diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue. Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs, communicate customer concerns clearly, and ensure timely completion of work. Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining proper records. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all customer interactions, repair orders, and service history in dealership management systems. Promote automotive services by educating customers on vehicle maintenance best practices and building long-term relationships through exceptional customer service. Requirements Proven experience in a automotive environment or auto service management role is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, repairs (including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair), and vehicle maintenance procedures. Experience working with service writing or auto estimating software is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Knowledge of automotive systems such as suspension, alignment, tire service, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair is a plus. Previous mechanic or service technician experience is advantageous for understanding repair processes and parts requirements. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation and cash handling. Automotive experience combined with sales aptitude will be considered an asset.
