Mechanic

• We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanic to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general services, with a passion for working with heavy equipment and vehicles. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment. This role requires attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

• Duties
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake services.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel and gas engines, transmissions, and other components using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Conduct inspections of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
• Operate heavy equipment, including tractor-trailers, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Work in a fast-paced dealership environment, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and meets customer expectations.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all repairs are completed safely and in compliance with manufacturer and industry regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel mechanics, attending training sessions and workshops as necessary.
• Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CDL or equivalent certification.
• 2+ years of experience in diesel or gas mechanics, preferably in a dealership setting.
• Strong understanding of diesel or gas engine mechanics and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in hydraulic systems and HVAC systems.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation and industrial equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and repair manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with others.
• Certification in areas such as diesel engine repair, heavy equipment operation, or HVAC systems is a plus.
