Job Summary Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Technician to join our 2nd generation family run team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with expertise in gasoline engines. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose complex issues, perform repairs, and ensure that all vehicles meet safety and performance standards. As a Master Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing worn or damaged parts, including engines, transmissions, powertrain components, and electrical systems Conduct wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and suspension repairs to ensure vehicle safety and performance Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently Organize workflow with Advisors to meet customer expectations Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. We will talk about classes as they are presented by vendors in the area You must have a clean driving record as test driving all vehicles after repair is required Requirements Proven experience as an automotive technician or service technician Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation Proficiency in working with automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, and alignment procedures Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other repair machinery safely and effectively Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to diagnostics and repairs Valid technician certification or relevant ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Knowledge of ADAS calibration procedures and auto estimating software is a plus Why we are different than where you're working now Relaxed work setting - If you've ever worked for an overbearing boss with little to no mechanical experience, you know what we're talking about. We understand the challenges that come with our nature of work, and will work together to meet them. Ability to flag 45-55 hours per 40 hour work week, 10 months out of the year. Slow times are minimal, still flagging 40 hours a week during these unforeseen times.
