Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Fleet Truck Mechanic with Handyman experience to keep our fleet running smoothly and ensure all equipment is in top condition. This role offers an engaging opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles and machinery, combining mechanical expertise with practical handyman skills. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy troubleshooting and repairs, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet trucks, including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems Conduct diagnostics using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately Repair and fabricate parts as needed, utilizing welding, soldering, power tools, and fabrication techniques Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with strong knowledge of automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance Dealership experience or similar technical background preferred Familiarity with diesel engine repair, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC components Ability to lift heavy objects safely and operate power tools efficiently Excellent customer service skills combined with strong mechanical knowledge Valid certifications related to automotive diagnostics or heavy equipment operation are a plus Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values technical expertise combined with practical handyman skills.
