In this role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair or replace critical systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and auto electrical components to enhance vehicle functionality. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles meet quality standards before returning to customers. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, auto body repair, welding, and auto estimating is a plus. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous. Ability to work with various tools including hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of automotive safety systems such as ADAS and air brakes is highly desirable. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and customers alike.
