Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Lift Truck Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing essential industrial equipment! In this energetic role, you'll diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of heavy machinery, including forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other farm and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on lift trucks, forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals and schematics. Diagnose complex mechanical issues involving transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC components. Conduct repairs including brake repair, hydraulic system troubleshooting, welding, soldering, tire service, and assembly of various machinery parts. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools to repair or replace faulty components efficiently. Maintain accurate service records detailing repairs performed, parts used, and inspection results to ensure compliance with safety standards. Support heavy lifting operations during equipment repairs or replacements while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform diagnostics on diesel engines and other complex machinery. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, or similar industrial machinery. Dealership experience or OEM certification is highly preferred for precise diagnostics and repairs. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, air brake systems, suspension alignment, electrical diagnostics, and HVAC systems. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; experience with assembly of mechanical components is a plus. Proficiency with vehicle maintenance procedures involving power tools and hand tools; experience with tire service is desirable. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety standards at all times.
