We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original beauty through expert auto body refinishing, auto painting, and surface preparation. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle receives a flawless finish, meeting the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship in a fast-paced, energetic environment dedicated to automotive excellence. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply automotive paint using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision and attention to detail. Perform surface repairs, including dent removal, welding, and auto body repair techniques to restore vehicle integrity. Use grinders, power tools, buffing machines, and other hand tools to smooth surfaces and achieve a high-quality finish. Conduct auto glass replacement and repairs as needed during the refinishing process. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols by utilizing respiratory protection and proper handling of hazardous materials. Collaborate with team members on auto restoration projects, vehicle maintenance, and auto estimating tasks to ensure timely completion of work. Requirements Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair and automotive painting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, grinders, buffing equipment, and power tools. Skilled in surface preparation masking techniques and conventional spraying methods for automotive refinishing. Experience with airless paint spraying systems and auto painting procedures. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, auto glass installation, detailing, and auto restoration processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during parts replacement or vehicle handling. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repair processes and estimates. Auto estimating experience is a plus for providing accurate job assessments. Mechanic experience or welding skills are desirable for comprehensive vehicle repairs. Commitment to safety practices including respiratory protection use and proper handling of chemicals and tools.
