We're looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team. The right candidate brings a strong service technician background and GM/Chevrolet certification. Day-to-day, you'll work through repair orders, diagnose vehicle issues, and keep our customers' vehicles running at their best. What We Offer Health, Medical, and Dental Insurance 401(k) Plan Paid Time Off and Vacation Growth Opportunities Employee Vehicle Purchase Plans Family Owned and Operated Long-Term Job Security Flexible Work Schedule Responsibilities Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers are kept informed of any additional service needs and receive accurate time estimates Execute repairs under warranty to GM/Chevrolet manufacturer specifications Qualifications 1+ years of Service Technician experience preferred GM/Chevrolet Certification preferred B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies Positive, friendly attitude with an eagerness to improve and grow Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced shop environment Collaborative team player who works well with others Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and manufacturer specifications Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ready to join the Akins Chevrolet team?
