Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Automotive Dyno Tuner to join our innovative automotive service team. In this vital role, you will utilize state-of-the-art dynamometer equipment to optimize vehicle performance, diagnose engine and powertrain issues, and fine-tune vehicles for peak efficiency. Your expertise will directly impact vehicle reliability, customer satisfaction, and overall performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of vehicles, including high-performance models and industry-leading brands, in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Duties Operate and calibrate dynamometer testing equipment to accurately measure vehicle power output, torque, emissions, and fuel efficiency. Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify performance issues. Fine-tune engine control units (ECUs), fuel maps, ignition timing, and other parameters to optimize vehicle performance according to manufacturer specifications. Collaborate with service technicians to interpret diagnostic data and implement necessary repairs or modifications involving powertrain components such as transmissions and diesel engines. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including wheel alignments, suspension checks, and brake assessments to ensure optimal testing conditions. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair techniques to modify or repair components as needed during tuning processes. Maintain detailed records of tuning procedures, test results, and modifications for each vehicle; ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control protocols. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive diagnostics and repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including powertrain, transmissions, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and automotive electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive service tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software. Familiarity with schematics interpretation and troubleshooting complex electrical diagrams related to vehicle electronics. Service technician experience working with GM vehicles or diesel engines is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks like wheel alignment and general automotive repair efficiently.
