Tanker Truck Wash Technician

Job SummaryWe are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Tank Wash Technician to maintain our dry bulk transport fleet. You will be responsible for the thorough interior and exterior cleaning of pneumatic trailers that transport cement powder, sand, ash, and other dry industrial minerals. This role ensures that equipment is free from hardened residue, completely dry, and safe for subsequent transport loads without contamination.

Core Responsibilities Interior Pneumatic Cleaning :

Operate industrial wash rack systems, high-pressure washers, and hydro-blasting equipment to clear dry material buildup out of the tank interiors and bottom discharge hoppers.

Exterior Fleet Wash :

Clean and spray down the external surfaces of trucks and trailers using designated protective chemical compounds to prevent cement or environmental grime from adhering to the metal body.

Component Maintenance :

Disassemble, inspect, wash, and reassemble tanker components—including pressure valves, gaskets, product couplings, and heavy 3-to-4 inch discharge hoses.

Safety Compliance :

Follow all strict industrial safety protocols, check safety data sheets (SDS) for cleaning agents, and perform checks for non-permit confined space entry or elevated platform work. Yard Maneuvering (Optional/Plus) : Move and park tractor-trailers or yard mules around the wash bay area safely (if possessing a valid driver's license or CDL).

Position Requirements Experience :

Prior experience in industrial cleaning, pressure washing, auto detailing, or logistics facility operations is highly preferred. We provide paid training for the right candidate.

Physical Demands :

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, drag heavy wash hoses, climb ladders/catwalks to access the tops of trailers, and work in wet, humid, or outdoor environments.

Safety Mindset :

Must be dependable and comfortable wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including boots, eye protection, and respirators when necessary.

Background :

Must pass a routine pre-employment drug screen and background check.
