mechanic Cass Burch CDJR Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in automotive, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The mechanic will work with various systems including transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, and electrical components, utilizing their mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality service. Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on automotive vehicles, heavy machinery, farm equipment, and industrial systems using schematics and technical manuals Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, and alignment procedures Repair or replace components including transmissions, hydraulics, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication machinery for custom repairs or modifications Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving Caterpillar equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other heavy machinery Maintain detailed service records and document repairs performed Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as needed Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly to clients Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance Dealership experience is highly desirable Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering Familiarity with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, HVAC systems, diesel engines, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and power tools Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical troubleshooting skills Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to apply their extensive mechanical expertise across various industries while contributing to the safety and efficiency of our operations.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
