Job Description

Penhall Company is hiring a Mechanic to perform light to medium mechanical work, servicing & maintaining a fleet of 2020 & newer Ford F series construction vehicles as well as servicing & maintaining newer Kenworth & Peterbilt Trucks, Equipment Trailers and some specialty equipment. Diagnose, repair and maintain gas & diesel small engine equipment as well as a fleet of Gas, diesel & electric concrete saws.
Specific Role Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe working environment while providing quality work standards & equipment readiness. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform light to medium duty repairs to a fleet of newer Ford F550 Diesel Service trucks. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair, a fleet of Gas, Diesel & electric concrete cutting saws and core drilling equipment. Repair and fabrication of equipment, performing basic MIG welding. Interact with field operators as a technical expert and adviser with equipment & how to tag it out of service due to Safety & mechanical issues. Perform additional assignments as requested by your supervisor Requirements Must be safety oriented in all aspects while repairs are in process. Wear proper PPE while performing repairs Safety Glasses, ear plugs (when Noisy) dust mask, gloves etc. 2- 3 years' experience working with Light, Heavy Vehicle & industrial construction equipment And Trailers. Previous experience working with diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic repairs Experienced in basic oxy acetylene, plasma cutting & MIG welding. Must possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of vehicle & construction equipment. Work in inclement weather Heat, Rain, Cold dealing with repairs in the field and our repair facility. Ability to work days & some extended hours if asked. Possible Saturday if needed. Strong sense of urgency with a focus on quality and safety. Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 90 pounds.
