Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team! In this vital role, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a wide variety of heavy equipment, farm machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to outstanding service delivery. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Repair and service diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, air brakes, and wheel alignments. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Maintain hydraulic systems by inspecting hoses, cylinders, pumps, and valves; troubleshoot leaks; replace worn components. Perform tire service including mounting, balancing, repairs on various vehicles and equipment. Execute preventive maintenance routines to ensure safety standards are met and equipment longevity is maximized. Assist in assembly and disassembly of machinery components during repairs or upgrades. Operate heavy machinery safely during maintenance procedures while adhering to all safety protocols. Document all repair activities accurately in maintenance logs; communicate effectively with team members regarding ongoing issues or repairs needed. Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice or assistance when required. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation and automotive repair. Dealership experience is highly desirable; familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is a plus. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, electrical systems, and diesel engine repair. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; experience with tire service is preferred. Experience with tire service on various vehicles and equipment is advantageous. Valid certifications in automotive diagnostics or industrial equipment repair are a plus; relevant licenses for forklift operation or crane handling are desirable. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills; customer service experience is a plus. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Valid Class A or B CDL and have a tanker endorsement Ability to pass background check and drug screening (if required) Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment safely Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50-75 pounds Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work under vehicles Ability to work in shop and outdoor environments Administrative Responsibilities Document all repairs and maintenance performed Track parts used and inventory Report major mechanical issues to management Maintain a clean and organized work area Professional Expectations Strong problem-solving skills Attention to detail Ability to work independently and efficiently Reliable and punctual Commitment to workplace safety If you're passionate about keeping machinery running smoothly!
