Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing semi trailers. This role is essential in ensuring the safe operation of our fleet, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including brakes, lights, and suspension systems. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and equipment. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide tire services, including installation, rotation, and repair. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of work. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to trailer systems and components. Ability to perform semi trailer service tasks effectively. Proficient as a service technician with hands-on experience in repairs. Capable of transmitting information clearly within the team regarding maintenance needs. This position is at our Cedar Rapids location, weekdays (M-F) day shift. At least 1 year of semi trailer mechanic experience, own hand tools, valid driver's license are required. Papa's is like family•come join us•Come to Papa!
