Full benefits package offered A local Iowa pavement company is seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic to join their team. This position offers a unique seasonal schedule, traveling with crews during the paving season and working locally in the Dubuque shop during the winter months. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, dump trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and brake system issues Complete emergency roadside and field repairs during paving season Maintain accurate service and repair records Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently Work closely with drivers, operators, and supervisors to minimize downtime Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements Previous diesel mechanic or heavy truck repair experience required Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems Ability to travel overnight during paving season (April-November) Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Benefits Competitive pay up to $36/hour based on experience Full benefits package offered Year-round employment Mix of travel and local work opportunities Stable position with a respected Iowa pavement company Sedona Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer Please email resume to Abby@careerpros.com
