By applying your expertise in diagnostics and mechanical repair, you will minimize downtime and ensure that all equipment meets rigorous performance and safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance inspections on trailer systems, including air brakes, suspension, and lighting to ensure road readiness. Execute precise repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems to restore equipment functionality and reliability. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technical schematics to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical failures. Perform structural fabrication and welding tasks to maintain the integrity of trailer components and meet custom specifications. Manage the service lifecycle of heavy equipment by accurately documenting all repairs and maintenance activities in compliance with industry regulations. Safely operate shop machinery and heavy equipment to facilitate efficient repairs and movement of assets. Qualifications Required Skills Proven professional experience in trailer maintenance or heavy equipment repair. In-depth knowledge of air brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical wiring. Proficiency in welding, soldering, and metal fabrication techniques. Ability to interpret complex technical manuals and electrical schematics. Preferred Skills Relevant vocational training or industry-recognized mechanical certifications. Experience with HVAC system diagnostics and repair. Prior experience operating forklifts or other heavy industrial machinery.
