Boise, ID Job Summary Boise Auto Group is hiring a full-time Automotive Recon Technician for our used vehicle reconditioning operation. We are looking for someone who can diagnose issues, perform quality repairs, and keep vehicles moving through recon efficiently . This is a steady hourly position with a consistent 40-hour work week. We are not looking for someone who guesses and throws parts at problems. We need someone who can inspect, diagnose, repair, and help keep inventory front-line ready. Responsibilities Inspect and recondition used vehicles Diagnose check engine lights and common drivability issues Perform brakes, suspension, steering, and general mechanical repairs Identify repair needs quickly and accurately Help keep inventory moving through the recon process efficiently Perform repairs with speed, quality, and attention to detail Qualifications Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience Diagnostic ability is required Valid driver's license required Own tools preferred Ability to work independently Reliable and dependable ASE certification is not required What We're Looking For Someone who can diagnose, not guess Someone who can work efficiently without constant supervision Someone who understands how to keep used vehicles moving and retail-ready Someone who takes pride in doing solid work without dragging jobs out Pay & Schedule $20-$40/hour , depending on experience and ability Full-time Consistent 40-hour work week Hourly pay (not flat rate) Please Apply If You Have Mechanical repair experience Diagnostic/troubleshooting experience A valid driver's license A strong work ethic and reliable attendance If you are productive, dependable, and know how to diagnose and repair vehicles properly, we'd like to talk.
