Job Description

Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Technician Everlast Brands - Idaho Falls, ID $15-$18 guaranteed pay + Performance Pay = Total compensation $18-28/hr Role Summary Everlast Brands is seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet & Equipment Maintenance Technician to keep our vehicles, restoration equipment, and operational assets running safely and efficiently. This role is primarily focused on vehicle and mechanical equipment maintenance, diagnostics, preventative service, and repair, with some facility maintenance responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced with fleet vehicles and small equipment, and capable of troubleshooting issues quickly to minimize downtime across company operations. Key Responsibilities Vehicle & Fleet Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company vehicles, trailers, and fleet assets Complete oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, battery replacement, brake inspections, and other preventative maintenance tasks Diagnose mechanical issues and perform light-to-moderate vehicle repairs Coordinate outsourced repairs with vendors and repair shops when necessary Maintain accurate service records, maintenance schedules, and repair documentation Ensure fleet vehicles remain safe, reliable, clean, and operational Equipment Maintenance & Repair Diagnose and repair restoration and cleaning equipment including dehumidifiers, carpet extractors, air movers, pressure washers, and related tools Perform preventative maintenance on operational equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan Inspect tools and equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance Maintain organized shop and equipment storage areas Facility Maintenance (Secondary Responsibility) Assist with general facility maintenance across offices, warehouses, retail locations, and job sites Complete minor repairs involving lighting, plumbing fixtures, shelving, doors, painting, and basic building upkeep Support facility improvement and operational projects as needed Operational Support Respond quickly to urgent vehicle, equipment, or facility maintenance requests Deliver equipment, tools, or operational materials when required Monitor maintenance supply inventory and assist with reordering parts and shop materials Collaborate with department leaders to schedule preventative maintenance and minimize operational interruptions Core Skills & Competencies Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Experience working on fleet vehicles, trailers, small engines, or operational equipment Ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently Organized and capable of managing multiple maintenance priorities Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-focused Comfortable using digital work orders, maintenance software, or tracking systems Strong communication and teamwork skills Takes pride in quality workmanship and reliable follow-through Performance Expectations Maintain high fleet uptime and equipment readiness Complete preventative maintenance schedules consistently and on time Respond promptly to operational maintenance requests Reduce avoidable breakdowns and downtime Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance areas Deliver high-quality repairs with attention to detail and safety Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with clean driving record 2+ years of experience in vehicle, fleet, equipment, or mechanical maintenance Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Ability to lift and move equipment as required Preferred Qualifications Experience working with fleet vehicles, trailers, or small engines Certifications in automotive repair, diesel technology, HVAC, electrical, or related trades OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience with restoration or cleaning equipment repair Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and shop organization
Pay:
$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
