Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Head Mechanic to lead our automotive service team with energy and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair operations, ensuring top-quality service delivery and operational efficiency. Your leadership will drive a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement, inspiring your team to achieve outstanding results. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive technology, possesses strong mechanical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and customer satisfaction are paramount. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the service technician team to perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance with precision and efficiency. Oversee the inspection, repair, and assembly of various vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, engines, and electrical components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting to complete repairs to the highest standards. Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Manage workflow schedules, prioritize repairs, and coordinate with parts suppliers to minimize downtime. Provide expert guidance on automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve complex mechanical issues swiftly. Foster excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, building trust, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Skills Experience coupled with proven service technician expertise in automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, electrical wiring, welding, and assembly. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and techniques for accurate troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical devices. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Experience in sales or upselling additional services is a plus for enhancing customer value. Experience in heavy-duty and light-duty diesel truck maintenance and repairs. Bilingual Spanish/English speaking preferred.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
