Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Automotive Service Writer to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed service orders and accurately document customer requests, vehicle symptoms, and repair requirements Provide clear auto estimates, explaining necessary repairs such as transmissions, brake repair, oil changes, suspension work, tire service, alignments, and more Upsell appropriate maintenance services and repairs to maximize customer value while ensuring safety and reliability Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, track progress, and ensure timely completion of services Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain detailed records of all service activities Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians Qualifications Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive service writing is essential Experience with a wide range of automotive systems including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension components, tire services, oil changes, auto body repairs, and auto sales is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Previous experience handling cash transactions accurately is a plus Join us in delivering top-tier automotive care while building lasting relationships with our valued customers.
