Job Description

Iron Horse Garage is a small, growing classic car restoration and custom build shop in Nampa. We do full frame-off restorations, engine swaps, performance upgrades, and quality paint work with integrity and high standards. We need a skilled, versatile technician who can lead on wiring while jumping into other mechanical work as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and install full custom wiring harnesses, engine swap wiring, and complete vehicle electrical systems Diagnose and repair difficult electrical issues, power drains, and other problems on classic cars Handle general mechanical and hands-on work on smaller/quick-turn jobs when wiring projects are slow Work on any classic automobiles (Muscle cars, hot rods, etc.) Communicate clearly with the team, customers (intake calls), and on parts needs so jobs stay on track Help with customer intake, phones, and scheduling when needed Set a good example: reliable full-time attendance, positive attitude, and teamwork
Requirements:
Strong experience with full vehicle wiring, custom harness fabrication/installs, and engine swaps Ability to diagnose tough electrical problems and power drains (must have your own tools for this) Solid general mechanical skills for classic car work Strong communication skills — clear, professional, and proactive with team and customers Modern automotive electrical knowledge (CAN bus, ECUs, etc.) is a plus Must be reliable for consistent 40-hour weeks Team player with good attitude who stays positive when plans change and helps across the shop Leader mindset to set the standard for the crew What we offer: Starting pay at $28/hr with increases based on performance and skills Steady mix of wiring projects and other interesting classic car work Small dedicated team where your contributions matter Local Treasure Valley applicants preferred.
