Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive vehicle performance and customer satisfaction! In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your mechanical skills and automotive knowledge will be key to delivering top-quality service, whether working on gasoline engines, diesel engines, transmissions, or electrical systems. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle components including engines, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain elements. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for repairs and replacements while adhering to safety protocols. Work on diesel engines and perform air brake repairs for commercial vehicles when necessary. Read technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical issues efficiently. Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and providing reliable estimates. Maintain detailed repair records and ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent auto repair shops preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics reading. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, auto estimating software, welding techniques, and GM vehicle systems is a plus. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other maintenance equipment safely. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot complex electronic issues. Ability to perform oil changes, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
