Job Description
CDL Class A Driver w/ Tanker Endorsement - Yard Support Technician American Staffing, Inc. is currently hiring a dependable and safety-conscious CDL Class A Driver with Tanker Endorsement for a full-time position in Twin Falls, Idaho. This role is ideal for an experienced driver who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and is willing to assist with yard, warehouse, and equipment-related tasks when not actively making deliveries. The primary responsibility of this position is operating commercial vehicles to safely transport equipment, materials, and products to customers and job sites. During downtime between deliveries, the driver will assist with yard organization, warehouse operations, equipment installation, and general labor duties to support overall operations. Position Summary This position combines CDL driving responsibilities with hands-on yard and warehouse support. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time operating commercial vehicles and making deliveries while also assisting with loading, unloading, equipment preparation, inventory management, and general yard maintenance as needed. This is a physically active position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key ResponsibilitiesCDL Driving Duties (Primary Responsibility) Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and products to customer locations and job sites. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs and documentation. Secure loads properly and ensure all transportation activities comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Assist customers and team members with loading and unloading deliveries when required. Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude while representing the company. Yard & Warehouse Support Duties Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse and yard. Assist with installing and removing snowplow equipment and attachments on trucks during the winter season. Help maintain inventory of parts, tools, and materials. Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient yard environment. Perform general labor tasks including lifting, carrying, assembling, cleaning, and equipment preparation. Conduct basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Assist other departments as needed during slower delivery periods. Requirements & QualificationsCDL Requirements Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement required. Current DOT Medical Card required. Clean driving record with no major violations. Must be insurable under the company's vehicle insurance policy. Ability to pass a driving test, DOT requirements, and pre-employment screening. Experience Previous CDL driving experience required. Forklift experience preferred. Experience working in construction, equipment, warehouse, industrial, or agricultural environments is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move 50-100 lbs regularly. Ability to perform physical labor indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Mechanical Aptitude Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with tools and equipment preferred. Ability to assist with equipment installation and maintenance activities.
