Competitive pay based on experience Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Technician specializing in both gasoline and diesel vehicles. This position is intended for technicians who are capable of independently diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems without constant supervision. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic abilities, extensive mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform accurate and efficient repairs across a wide range of vehicle systems. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engine problems using advanced diagnostic equipment. Perform comprehensive inspections and troubleshooting of vehicle systems. Repair and service engine components, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems. Diagnose and repair brake systems, including hydraulic brakes, ABS systems, and related components. Diagnose and repair suspension and steering systems, including shocks, struts, control arms, and steering linkages. Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, control modules, and charging systems. Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify electronic faults and resolve complex vehicle issues. Perform preventative maintenance services such as fluid changes, tune-ups, and system inspections. Ensure all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Test drive vehicles when necessary to verify repairs and diagnose issues. Required Qualifications At least 5 years of professional automotive technician experience working with gasoline and/or diesel vehicles. Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
Strong knowledge of:
Gasoline and diesel engine systems Brake systems (including ABS) Suspension and steering components Electrical wiring and automotive electronics Fuel systems and injection systems Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and scan equipment. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and service manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Certifications from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) are not required but are a plus. Experience working with diesel engines and modern fuel injection and carbureted systems. Experience diagnosing complex electrical issues. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift over 50 lbs. Ability to work under vehicles and in tight spaces. Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely.
Pay:
$52,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
